Help-Veterans.org exists for one reason: to connect veterans with the resources they need, when they need them most.
We cut through the bureaucracy, skip the jargon, and provide direct pathways to housing, food, employment, mental health support, and more. Because when you've served your country, you shouldn't have to navigate a maze to get help.
Our Story
Help-Veterans.org was founded in 2014 by Joseph C. McGinty Jr., a U.S. Army veteran with over two decades of military service and leadership experience.
After leaving active duty, Joe saw a consistent pattern. Veterans were falling through the cracks not because help didn't exist, but because it was fragmented, outdated, or impossible to navigate when someone was already under stress. He built the resource hub he wished had existed when it mattered most.
What began as a self-funded, one-person effort has grown into a trusted platform that has helped more than 8,000 veterans nationwide. Every resource is reviewed. Every link is checked. Every update is made with the understanding that when someone is in crisis, accuracy and clarity are not optional.
Help-Veterans.org exists for one reason: to reduce friction between veterans and the help they've earned, without noise, gatekeeping, or broken systems getting in the way.
